We may also disclose information where required by law. The APP framework regulates disclosure and, where information is disclosed overseas, can make the Australian entity accountable for how it is handled.

Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to work with providers that handle personal information appropriately. The OAIC’s APP 8 guidance explains that cross-border disclosure can trigger accountability obligations for the Australian entity.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. APP 11 requires entities that hold personal information to take reasonable steps to protect it.
7. Access and correction
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it if you believe it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. The Privacy Act gives individuals rights relating to their personal information, including access and correction rights.
8. Marketing
If you subscribe to our mailing list, we may send you updates, launches and marketing communications. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us directly.
